Motel Long Lake and Cottages

Motel Long Lake & Cottages is a lake-front resort. Located in the most sparsely populated county east of the Mississippi River, the hamlet of Long Lake sits in the center of New York’s Adirondack Park.

Created in eastern upstate New York in 1892 as one of the first Forever Wild Forest Preserves in the nation, the Adirondack Park is a unique wilderness area and National Historic Landmark. At 6 million acres, it is the largest publicly protected area in the contiguous United States.

The Adirondack Park boasts 3,000 lakes and ponds, and 30,000 miles of rivers and streams, therefore Adirondack waterways are vast, wild and primal -perfect for New York canoeing and kayaking. More than 2,000 miles of complex and beautiful New York hiking trails that cater to every skill level. 

Our property is located right on the shores of Long Lake with over 200′ of waterfront, a private beach, fire pits, canoes and kayaks available for both our guests and staff free of charge. We are also within walking distance to town center as well as many local hiking trails.

HOUSING

We have a 3 bedroom cabin available as shared housing for our staff. One bedroom with private bathroom for 2 and two additional rooms for one person each with a shared bathroom. Common kitchen and living room space for all. Each student will have their own bed.
